Located on Rotterdam’s vibrant Kop van Zuid waterfront, LantarenVenster is a leading cultural venue where film, music, hospitality, and events come together. As an arthouse cinema and jazz-focused music venue, we welcome over 227,000 visitors annually and offer a unique setting for conferences, corporate events, screenings, receptions, and public gatherings. Our venue features a large multifunctional event space, six cinema auditoriums, and a spacious, light-filled foyer overlooking the Rijnhaven. Combined with an on-site café-restaurant and professional event support, LantarenVenster provides a distinctive and inspiring environment for events of all kinds. LantarenVenster is internationally recognized for its high-quality film and music programming. Our cinema presents the latest arthouse releases, documentaries, film festivals, and special screenings, while our music programme hosts more than 120 concerts each year, with a strong focus on jazz, world music, and contemporary artists. Throughout the year, the venue hosts renowned festivals and cultural events, including International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), Camera Japan, Cinekid, and the Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam, making LantarenVenster one of the city's most dynamic cultural destinations. Our largest venue, zaal 1, is a multifunctional space. It features a retractable grandstand with a capacity of up to 300 seats in a theatre-style setup. When the grandstand is retracted, the room can accommodate up to 450 standing guests, while the balcony provides an additional 70 fixed seats. Thanks to its flexible layout, the space is suitable for a wide range of events. A bar can be installed within the room, and the venue can be furnished and configured to suit the specific requirements of your event.
